Decided only today that I ll start blogging for the Melaka trip that I went with my parents last Friday,we spended 3 days and 2 nights there at Makhota Hotel which was located within the Melaka Town and near to the sea!Which is nice considering at night you'll get to feel the breezy wind blowing at your face.
~1ST Day Of Trip~
I m gonna start at the beginning of our trip just to get a better understanding of how this trip actually started.Well as usual all our trips starts from the house as do mine but with a little bit detouring.We started off at 9.00am in the morning at headed to Pudu because my father needed to pick up some office stuffs from a shop there and head to his office which was at Gombak, well for some of you that knows the roads well we were way off course from Melaka.By the time everything was done it was already 1pm and we were already on our way to Melaka.While on the way to Melaka, we reached Seremban at about 2.30pm and decided to have our lunch there as my mom said that her friend told her of a nice restaurant to have our lunch which in the end turned out to be a disappointment as the restaurant was closed,so we picked a stall nearby and have our lunch there before continuing our journey to Melaka.We reached Melaka at 3.30pm or so and I was to be the navigator to get us to our hotel with the map the hotel faxed us with(eventually i got us there haha).On our way to the hotel we passed by a shop call Tan Kim Hock where they sell all those coconut sweets,cendol,chili sauce and other food products that were locally made and that was where someone smsed me and I had to call that special someone back as I wanted to take that opportunity to do so.Well after that we head straight to the hotel and checked in at 4.00pm++ so my brother insisted that he wanted to go for a swim as he was amazed by the pool there *sighs* well it did not amazed me,as for me i went and tour the hotel surroundings and played mini golf with my mum,where you only have to putt.Went back to the hotel room and took a shower after that and after the that we went out on a quest to find Nyonya food as Melaka is famous for that,after a few turns here and there we eventually found one and head in.We called the kangkungs fried with sambal, spicy steam fish ,a chicken dish with a kind of sweet and brownish sauce with mushrooms(mind you its not mushroom sauce or those brown sause that you'll get when you have western food)and the last dish was the otak-otaks.The food wasnt bad thou but the only thing wrong with it was the price as it was kinda pricy compared to the 2nd day dinner we had at the Portugese Settlement.After dinner we went shoppings!!!at Dataran Melaka(if i m not mistaken that's what its called)and bought a T-shirt and some tid bits(junk foods),went back to the hotel and got an early nights rest at 10 pm as we were all tired from all the travelling...
~2ND Day Of Trip~
Woke up at 8.30am because of my loud and noisy brother and went down for a swim!!! because my brother wanted to and mom insisted that i went with him =.= in the early morning where there was but a few people and the water was so darn cold...you could imagine how that feels after sleeping in a hotel room with aircond(and there is no way to turn if off only the temperature could be set) all night.To my surprise and some of you guys may find eye watering a group of Japanese girls(some of them are very and i mean very pretty)came down to for a swim to xD and i even accidentally banged into one of them as i was hmm...forgot what i was doing already or perhaps I did intended to do so anyways i apologised and continued swimming while looking after my brother =.= After 2 hours of swimming my brother and I went back to the room and get ready to go out for breakfast well by the time we were ready it was already 11.30am and we were already going for lunch instead of breakfast.We went to Jonker street for our breakfast at a stall call Dessert 88 or was it? anyways we ordered a Nyonya Asam Laksa(its just like the normal laksa just much better),Nyonya Laksa(this is actually curry laksa,looks nice but its kinda tasteless)and a Mee with the black sauce(its kon lo mein xD and its pretty darn nice)...
~the four of us that were my parents,my brother and I shared 3 of the foods by taking turns to taste this bowl of mee and so on xD.~
So after that we went and tour the whole Melaka to places like Perigi Puteri Hang Li Po,Crocodile Farm and the Melaka Zoo...never got down thou, we just pass by those places.~I ll skip from here till evening now as we did nothing special that are worth telling here~.So at the evening at 6pm we went to the Portugese Settlement for dinner which was quiet worth it considering we ordered 5 dishes that consisted of a fish(sweet and sour,fish was quiet large too),Otak-Otaks again!(nice!),a taugeh dish,longbeans and crabs!at it only costs RM 60++ and i took some pics of the sunset and the seaside scenery which was i dont know,why dont you guys give a comment on it...
In the night we went back to A-Famosa and took some pics...
After that we walked all the way back to Jonker street as it was just a walking distance and the place was now a pasar malam which sell most things like any pasar malam but i still find that our KL pasar malam is still the best compare to Melaka's.Went back after that and as for the next day we checked out at 12.00pm and went home!!.Overall the trip was to be said enjoyable and fun I guess...
